Did you read the subject heading and think, “What the heck?! Shouldn’t a time management coach be all about the checklists?”
And if that’s what you thought, why yes I am. Nothing beats a good To-Do list. 🙂
However, there’s another kind of checklist that I’m dead set against. Especially when it comes to coaching students about time management, study skills, or self-advocacy.
Here’s my FINAL video in the summer series, where I unpack the kind of checklist I’m totally against
What do you think? Do you agree with my toolbox approach when it comes to teaching executive function skills to students? If so, please check out my course for educators, The Art of Inspiring Students to Study Strategically. I’d love to support you in (1) learning a solid toolbox of strategies, and (2) figuring out when students are ripe to learn which tools! We have so much fun on that course. Please join us!
As always, I’d lovee to hear from you!
P.S. Next week I’ll be checking back in to officially start the school year with you! Looking forward to updating you about my thoughts about distance learning, what the new school year is going to look like, and why students and teachers need the Anti-Boring Executive Function Toolkit to help themselves cope with what is about to become the weirdest school year ever (don’t you think?).
