I survived!
I know… I know… I’m on sabbatical and probably shouldn’t be filming videos so soon after surgery, BUT I couldn’t wait to see you again!
It may be a bit selfish, but I needed to share with you how tedious and exhausting this process has been. Can I just be “better” already?!
As I sit here grumpy and in pain, I can’t help but draw connections between my healing process and the Get in Gear lesson from the Anti-Boring tools. What I’m finding is I need to bolster my team to get through this, so in many ways, sharing this video is me connecting with you.
Today we’ll talk myofunctional therapy, hustle culture, the value of community, and rest to unearth a few strategies we can use with ourselves and our students during difficult seasons.

Would you like to help distract me during this long waiting phase in my recovery? Send me a message with well wishes or news of your summer! (And, if you missed the video where I described my surgery and why I was having it, you can check that out here.)
Plus, I’d love to stay connected and share community with you while I’m away by reading Rest is Resistance by Tricia Hersey together so we can chat all about it this October when I’m back from sabbatical. Are you in???
