I’m heading out for my spring break–yes, academic life coaches get to take spring breaks, too, and I highly recommend them because we all need some rest at this time of year. But, before I go, I made something for you that I hope you’re going to get some real value from. It helps answer the #1 question I get as an academic life coach from students, parents, and educators.
Wanna’ know what that question is?
Wanna’ know what I made for you?
Check out today’s video and all shall be revealed! (Note: today’s video is eight minutes and 55 seconds long, which is longer than my usual videos, but it’s because I’m walking you through the gift I made for you, so I hope you’ll bear with me!)
Watch the video here:
Were you surprised by the question I receive most often?
Did you recognize yourself or your students in any of those nine reasons?
You can download the complete list of Nine Valid Cognitive Challenges that Limit Student Learning here.
Plus, if you’d like to ask me any questions about any of these, including what tools can help, I hope you’ll join me at my free, live, office hours session next Tuesday. You can sign up and send me your question here.
And finally, if you have any feedback you’d like to share about this gift, I’d love to hear from you! Send me your thoughts at officewiz@gretchenwegner.com!
Wishing you a great week!
P.S.
At the office hours session next week, we’ll be talking about strategies to get through the rest of this semester, so if you need help re-engaging or getting students re-engaged, I hope you’ll be there! Sign up here.
This is really timely information! With spring weather warming, both my students and I are struggling to stay motivated. I like the variety of a chart presentation. It is a tool I can use with my students who are beginning to understand how they learn.
Hi Gretchen, this is great information! Many of the college students that I’m currently working with have shared that motivation is an issue for them–which translates for them into procrastination issues. This is a tool that I can use and share with my students. Thank you! ??
