Can you believe it’s nearly 2022? I’m having a hard time wrapping my own head around that!
I know it’s probably winter break for most of you, but I couldn’t help myself from making you a new video. I’m super passionate about this one–as you’ll see if you watch it đŸ˜‰
As we slide into 2022, I felt moved to share five skills I think we ALL can use to be better learners in the new year–and by ALL, I really do mean all: students, parents, teachers, and coaches!
So, if you have any brain cells left after this semester, and if I’ve piqued your interest at all, please check out this six-minute and 34-second video:
Well, whaddya’ think?
Are there any skills on this list you need to practice? Which ones?
Are you at the “noticing” stage? If so, that’s the best place to start! Or, are you a bit further along the list and need to work on your experimenting or asking for help? (Yes, asking for help is a skill…just like all the others, and it can take a lot of practice before it gets easy!)
Wherever you are on the list, can you pick one skill and commit to working on it in the new semester? Which one will you pick–the one that sounds like the most fun or maybe the one that you think will make the biggest difference? Whichever one you choose, you can’t go wrong!
If you decide to take me up on this challenge, please drop a comment below or send me an email at officewiz@gretchenwegner.com and let me know which skill you’re choosing and why! I really love hearing from you.
And if you’re stuck on HOW you might start practicing any of these new skills, be sure to join me at my next free, live community event by signing up here. This is a great way to practice asking for help, while also getting suggestions for how to practice whatever skill interests you!
Okay, if you’ve made it this far in my email while you’re on break, THANK YOU! And you’ve earned some down time…so go enjoy the holidays, and I’ll be back next week to see how it’s going!
Have fun, relax, and take good care of yourself!
P.S. Why not start the new year off right by sending me your biggest question about how to study well NOW, and then you can really relax over vacation knowing you’re going to start 2022 strong?Â
