How to Take Notes When You Are Overwhelmed with Information

Do you ever feel overwhelmed with the sheer amount of information you have to process in school (or in life)?
Many of my client struggle with figuring out how to take notes without writing down everything the teacher says — and further overwhelming themselves.

Recently, a client and I discussed this exact topic. Above is a quick video about the brilliant nugget that came out of this coaching session.

What experiences do you have with taking notes when there is a large sum of information? I’d love to hear from you.

  1. Gretchen, I love this! I seldom take notes now, but I can imagine using this for other things. Understanding difficult financial issues, for example. Attorney notes…

  2. I’m so glad it’s helpful, Peg. Attorney notes… Interesting! 🙂 I love hearing that my tips are helpful to anyone, not just students.
